Carter Froelich

Carter is the Managing Director of the Arizona and Idaho offices. Prior to the firm, Carter was Manager of the real estate consulting department of the national accounting firm of Kenneth Leventhal & Company in both the Phoenix, AZ and Newport Beach, CA offices. Carter is a former State Certified Real Estate Appraiser in AZ. Carter holds a masters degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Carter has over twenty-seven years of experience in the real estate industry with twenty-three of those years focused on real estate consulting with experience on over 300 projects and completion of over $3.2 billion in public financing for his private sector clients. Carter's areas of specialty are the formulation and implementation of land secured financings for both private and public for large scale developments, the preparation of market driven land use plans, the preparation of feasibility analyses for all types of real estate, development impact fee analyses, the formulation of development strategies for large scale master planned communities, and monetizing reimbursements through look back diagnostic reviews on existing projects.

Carter also has extensive experience working with financial institutions and has worked with FSLIC, FADA and the RTC with the take over and formulation of asset disposition strategies for over 15 failed savings and loans including Vernon Savings and Loan, American Diversified Savings Bank and Centennial Savings and Loan.  During the performance of his last financial institutional engagement, Carter managed over 150 consultants in the establishment of Owned Real Estate Department for the FDIC in the take over of Southwestern Bank in Miami, Florida. Lastly, Carter was actively involved with the RTC in the estimation of the Derived Investment Value (DIV) of land assets for the purposes of bulk land sales to investors.

Carter is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Valley Partnership, the Central Arizona Home Builder's Association, and the Southern Arizona Home Builder's Association and is a regular contributor of content to the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business’ monthly publication.
